Furniture Collections

If you have pre-loved furniture that you would like to donate to St Margaret's Hospice Care but are unable to transport the items to one of our furniture shops in Somerset, we are here to give you a helping hand. You can book a free furniture collection with our retail team.

All your donations help us to provide care and support for patients and their families across Somerset facing a life-limiting illness. Thank you for your support!  

To send more images of the items you’d like collected, please send them via email to retailsupport@st-margarets-hospice.org.uk 

Please bear with us as it can take 3-4 working days to get back to you, especially during busy periods.

 

Please bear in mind that there are some items we cannot accept – please refer to the guide for more information to ensure we can collect your generous donations.

All furniture that is booked in for collection must be of saleable condition. Please ensure any upholstered items, including mattresses, divan bases, chairs, sofas and so on, have a fire label attached.

We CAN accept:

Sofas and chairs
Bedside tables
Beds – bed frames and divan bases
Wardrobes
Mattresses – under 5 years old & unstained
Console tables & TV units
Dining tables and chairs
Hallway tables and hall stands
Dressing tables & desks
Chests of drawers
Side tables and units (waist height)
Bookcases.

We cannot accept:

Flat pack furniture
Gym equipment
White goods
Pianos – grand and upright.

Wall units and display units to be agreed by customer services.

All collections are at the discretion of the driver on the day, including their assessment of the quality of the items they are collecting.

St Margaret’s Hospice’s Furniture Collection service does not cover Chard, Wells, Minehead or Wincanton. If you would like to organise a collection in the Minehead area, please call the shop on 01643 705189. Or if you are based within the Wincanton area, please call the furniture shop on 01963 31470.
